2013 marks the 125th Anniversary of Four Roses Bourbon. As part of their anniversary celebration, Four Roses has launched a website called Year of the Toast. Here is what they have to say about it:
In celebrating our 125th anniversary, we, at Four Roses, all lifted a glass to our good fortune and had a revelation – hey, why not do this for a whole year? So we at the Distillery have officially declared 2013 as “The Year of the Toast.”
To celebrate our 125th anniversary, we are inviting you to share your favorite original toast, or toasts, with us here. Submit as many original toasts as you’d like as often as you want throughout 2013, and then, we’ll select one winning toast to be featured on our 2014 Limited Edition Single Barrel bottle.
Here’s to 2013, The Year of the Toast. And to your creativity in coming up with our favorite toast to mark the occasion.
In addition to hosting this contest, the website also outlines the history of Four Roses Bourbon. As luck would have it, we received several samples of their Bourbon last week (stay tuned for reviews of their Yellow Label, Single Barrel, and Small Batch expressions over the next few weeks), as well an email from a PR firm to tell us about an infographic that they created for the Year of the Toast website. Since it looks like all roads lead to Four Roses these days, I thought I would take this opportunity to share their infographic with you. Cheers!

What a cool idea! Did you all submit a toast? If so, what was it!? (or can you not share?) super fun!

I personally have not yet submitted a toast. Gonna have to give this some thought!

So, will we have to come up with original toasts as we sample the Four Roses? I can only imagine what the last few toasts might sound like after we work our way through the Yellow Label, Single Barrel, and Small Batch expressions. Maybe I should work on my toast before the expressions provide any added inspiration.
And, what a great graphic from Four Roses. Working in a who’s who of whiskey and a U. S. president. Well done!

Yes! Thou hath been challenged to come up with a good one. Get busy!
And FYI, I’m sure they’d prefer it if your toast was in English. Just sayin.
