Back in July, we reviewed a Bitburger Premium Pilsner that came in special packaging to celebrate the German National Soccer Teams bid for the 2026 World Cup that was hosted in North America. This beer was courtesy of our dear friends at Punch Media Public Relations of Philadelphia.

This time around, they sent us two new-to-us Bitburger beverages in addition to another can of the Bitburger Premium Pils which was in the standard packaging. The other two Bitburger beverages are a 0.0% Pilsner and a Gluten Reduced Lager.

Here are a few words about what we’ll be sampling:

0.0% : Full-flavoured and completely alcohol-free: naturally brewed following German Beer Purity laws, Bitburger Premium Pils Alkoholfrei 0,0% (alcohol-free) has an unmatched taste.

Gluten Reduced Lager: Beer is not naturally gluten free – but our Helles Lagerbier is. A special method gently removes the gluten from the beer after brewing. The result is a full-bodied, finely malty and hoppy lager with 5.1% ABV featuring the authentic Bitburger taste.

Premium Pilsner: Without a doubt, pils (also called ‘pilsner’) is Germany’s favourite style of beer. Fans of this style of brewing enjoy the dry, bitter flavour and light colour that is typical of the beers it produces. The name originates from the Bohemian town of Pilsen in the Czech Republic, where it was first produced in 1842, and we’ve been brewing this style of beer to perfection here in Bitburg since 1909. We lay claim to using the term “Pilsener” as an official designated beer style in Germany, way back in 1883.
