The latest edition of the “Bourbon Buzz” arrived in my inbox this past Thursday. If you are not familiar with the “Bourbon Buzz”, its a bi-monthly newsletter produced by the good folks over at Bourbon Country. This is a busy time of year for the folks in Kentucky as they get ready for the annual Run for the Roses at the Kentucky Derby. As everyone is aware, bourbon is the essential ingredient in the Derby’s signature drink – the mint julep.
This months edition provides some links to julep recipes as well as several other interesting goings-on. For anyone who will find themselves in Bourbon Country this spring, be sure to check the website for more information on upcoming events. In addition, the folks at Bourbon Country have released an iPhone app to guide adventurers along Louisville’s famous Urban Bourbon Trail.

We seriously need to get out there at some point. Looks like a good time! Besides, I’m still convinced that the good people of Kentucky keep all of the limited release Bourbons to themselves.
