Brew News Flash: VIP+ Details Announced for Brewer’s Plate XIII!

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Brewer’s Plate is thrilled to announce that Victory Brewing Company and Southern Tier will headline the exclusive VIP+ hour before the official event begins. Only 150 attendees will have access to this full hour of sampling while enjoying the gorgeous views of the bustling city from the rooftop garden at the Kimmel Center.Garces Events and Buena Onda will join forces with Victory and Southern Tier atop the Perelman Theatre at the Kimmel Center with live oyster shucking from NJ growers: Sweet Amalia Oyster Farm & Betsy’s Cape Shore Salts. VIP Plus guests will also get to experience a live chef demo of freshly carved Jamon con Tomate done by hand-cranked Berkel Slicer, and nosh on small plates that are perfectly paired with handcrafted brews.

Victory and Southern Tier promise to bring sought after drafts and exclusive bottle pours to VIP Plus guests.  Victory is set to feature beers such as Java Cask – their “Dark Wednesday” bourbon-barrel aged release of 2015 and 2016; and Red, their brewpub exclusive Flemmish-style Sour Red Ale.  Southern Tier will round out your palate with their picks, such as Nu Skool IPA and Crème Brulee.

Weren’t able to snag a VIP Plus ticket in time?  Have no fear! Victory and Southern Tier will be teaming up with the newest addition to the Garces restaurant group, 24 – a pairing  that is sure to tickle your fancy and make bellies and hearts happy on South Broad.

Exclusively debuting at this year’s main event is the much anticipated collaboration between Caputo Brothers Creamery and Sam Adams.  In 2014, longtime Fair Food supporter, Caputo Brothers, took first place in a national contest and won a grant in the Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream and now, Brewer’s Plate attendees get to reap the cheesy benefits.  Word on the street is Sam Adam’s Old Fezziwig Ale will be making an appearance during VIP hour – but you didn’t read that here.

With new faces to the Brewer’s Plate walls like Erdenhiem Farms, Bar Hygge, Heritage, Broken Goblet Brewing, Captain Lawrence Brewing, to returning friends of Fair Food like Cedar Point Bar & Kitchen, High Street on Market, Neshaminy Creek Brewing, and many more – the lineup for 2017 will not disappoint.

Keep your eyes and forks on these trifecta pairings:

  • Scott Schroeder’s newest venture, Hungry Pigeon, with Birchrun Hills Farm and Ploughman Ciders
  • New-on-the-scene Cinder with Frecon’s Cidery and Stone & Key
  • Longtime Brewer’s Plate participant: Devil’s Den, with Free Will and Bluebird Distilling
  • Rittenhouse’s new favorite: Butcher Bar PHL with Bobolink Dairy & Bakehouse and Levante Brewing

Guests can choose between:

  • VIP Plus Tickets: $130 (very low inventory!)
  • VIP Tickets: $100 (going fast!)
  • General Admission Tickets: $77

As a VIP ticket holder for 2017, you will have a full hour prior to General Admission with access to all participants, exclusive VIP-only beers, plus a special edition Brewer’s Plate VIP glass.

Entrance time for ticket holders:

  • VIP @ 5pm
  • General Admission @ 6pm
