We’re always a little skeptical when we hear that a beer is light on calories, yet big on taste. You see, we’re not drinking to get drunk or even get too buzzed. We’re in it for the flavor! And a laugh.
The folks at New Holland Brewing, makers of seriously big beers like Dragon’s Milk, were kind enough to send us samples of a 3.7% ABV / 86 calorie beer that they call Lightpoint Functional White Ale.
Here’s what they have to say about it:
A functional white ale that offers a low-calorie option without compromising full craft flavor. Brewed with coconut water, raw honey and orange peel, this refreshing brew is best enjoyed with friends after a day of hard work and exercise.
This sounds like quite the sessionable beer. We’re not opposed to that! But is it any good? Click the play button on the following video to find out:

Many thanks to Outside PR for sending us this very generous sample!
