A few weeks ago, we posted a review of the Bimber Ex-Bourbon Cask Batch #3 English Whisky. That was the first of three Bimber whiskies that we reviewed during one of our epic recording sessions.
Today’s video will feature the second Bimber whisky that we tasted that night…
As the title clearly states, this whisky is called the Bimber Klub Edition Release No 2 Vino de Naranja Cask. Here’s what we were able to find out about it on The Whisky Shop webpage:
Distilled at the Bimber distillery in London, this young distillery laid down its first casks on 26th of May 2016. This release is a special bottling available exclusively to members of the Bimber Klub. It has been put down to mature in first fill ex-bourbon barrels before being transferred for finishing to ex-Vino de Naranja casks. Part of a limited release of 2,100 bottles, this whisky has been bottled free from chill filtration and artificial colourings at a strength of 50.2% abv.
This whisky was first sampled at a Zoom tasting with Raj Sabharwal of Glass Revolution Imports and it really got the conversation going. To find out what we thought of this on the second go around, click play on the following video:
