It’s Girl Scout Cookie Season, so in honor of this delightful, yearly tradition, we decided to pair one particular cookie variety with two different Islay whiskies. The goal: figure out which whisky goes best with our chosen cookie.

Lemonades was the Girls Scout Cookie.

Ardbeg 10 and Laphroaig Cairdeas Fino Cask Finish were the whiskies.

This pairing session was my idea and stems from my love of citrus and Islay whisky which is well documented on our Twitter account…

The Islay Smash.

2 oz of your favorite Islay #Whisky
.5 oz Simple Syrup
1/2 Lemon
Crushed Ice

Since lemon and Islay whisky pair so nicely in a cocktail, I figured, why not try it with a lemon-flavored cookie. So that’s exactly what Limpd, The West Coast Office, and I did on the first Friday night of February 2020.
