On December 18, 2024, the TTB officially made American Single Malt a thing. Here are the rules:

• Made From 100% Malted Barley
• Distilled Entirely At One Distillery
• Mashed, Distilled And Matured In The USA
• Matured In Oak Casks Of A Capacity Not Exceeding 700 Liters
• Distilled To No More Than 160 (U.S.) Proof (80% Alcohol By Volume)
• Bottled At 80 (U.S.) Proof Or More (40% Alcohol By Volume)

On today’s video, we’ll be discussing an American Single Malt from Fox & Oden of Holland, Michigan. Here are some facts and figures about this whiskey:

• 94 Proof / 47% ABV
• Made from 100% Malted Barley
• A blend of 4 to 8 year old Single Malt Whiskeys.
