Dogfish Head Engine 19 IPA Review

We’re headed back to Milton, Delaware for a taste of yet another Collaboration Brew from our dear friends at Dogfish Head. This time around they teamed up with a Philadelphia Flyer and Flyers Charities to create an IPA that’s brewed up for a very good cause. Engine 19 IPA is its name.

Here’s what Dogfish Head has to say about it:

We teamed up with our pal and Flyers forward, Garnet Hathaway, along with Flyers Charities, to brew this citrus-forward IPA in support of Garnet and his wife, Lindsey’s, initiative, Hath’s Heroes. This program supports local first responders and their families through events and meaningful opportunities for fans and partners to give back and make a real impact in the lives of those who serve and protect our communities.

Engine 19 IPA is the product of our shared vision with Garnet: creating a beer that not only tastes good, but does good. We worked closely with Garnet to create a beer that’s both flavorful and meaningful, with a recipe inspired by community connection, approachability, and celebration. The result is a 6.5% ABV IPA featuring Simcoe, Chinook and Citra hops for aromas of pine and pithy citrus rounded out by flavors of passion fruit, toffee and biscuit.
