Dogfish Head is no stranger to collaborations when it comes to new brew development. The most epic one that we can remember was Saison Du BUFF from way back in 2010 which was a three way collaboration between Dogfish Head, Stone, and Victory.
This time around, they teamed with TALEA Beer Co. of Brooklyn, NY to create a Gose with some delicious sounding ingredients. Here’s what Dogfish Head had to say about Bo-De-Gose on their website:
Beer friends are the best friends! Together with our pals at TALEA Beer Co., we explored Brooklyn bodegas to discover an amazing bounty of beautiful ingredients. Bo-de-Gose is a fruited Gose is brewed with ripe cherries, exotic guava and pink peppercorns to create a beer that’s bursting with aromas and flavors of tart cherries and tropical guava … accented by an earthy, peppery spiciness. Light and refreshing, it boasts a crisp, dry finish, similar to that of a dry white wine.
Cherries and guava and peppercorns! OH MY! This certainly sounds like a wild and funky brew which if made by not-so-skilled brewers could be quite the train wreck. We don’t know much about TALEA Beer Co., so we can only assume that they know what they’re doing because Dogfish Head is working with them.
