Booze News – Wild Turkey Expands Its Distillery

On June 21, 2011, Wild Turkey officially unveiled its new $50 million distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. You can read more about this expansion on Chuck Cowdery’s blog.

As part of the unveiling, Wild Turkey Master Distiller Jimmy Russell and Associate Distiller Eddie Russell (Jimmy’s son) answered a few questions about Wild Turkey that were submitted by WhiskyCast listeners (one of the questions was submitted by our friend Don of the Beer & Whiskey Brothers blog). Below is the video of this Q&A session with these Masters of Bourbon courtesy of WhiskyCast HD. Enjoy!

  1. I had some of that American Honey tonight, that Wild Turkey makes. Even though I’m not a Wild Turkey fan, but it really wasn’t half bad. It was pretty sweet and did have a rich honey flavor.
