This isn’t the first time that Dogfish Head has released a Grateful Dead themed beer. In 2013 they released American Beauty, “a psychedelic pale ale brewed with granola and succulent wildflower honey”. Then in 2019 they released a Grateful Dead inspired beer for Record Store Day.
For 2025, they created their Grateful Dead Juicy Pale Ale. Here’s what Dogfish Head has to say about their latest Grateful Dead & Craft Beer Collaboration Brew:
GrAs beer geeks with a music problem, we couldn’t resist teaming back up with this legendary band to continue our long, strange trip together with a brand-NEW beer, Grateful Dead Juicy Pale Ale!
Clocking in at 5.3% ABV, this pale ale is brewed with Kernza® grains, granola and heaps of good karma for a refreshing, light-bodied beer that will leave you with nothin’ left to do but smile, smile, smile. The addition of El Dorado and Azacca hops brings waves of tropical pineapple, mango, and passion fruit notes for a vibrant tapestry of alluring aromas and flavors that just keeps truckin’ sip after refreshing sip.
So go on and grab a pint of this goodness to take a melodious trip for your taste buds.
Dogfish Head rarely disappoints, so we were quite excited to try this beer. Click play on the above video to hear what we thought of it.
