We went LIVE again! It’s just so darned freeing.

This time we were joined by special guests, founder Joe Beatrice and Chief Whiskey Scientist, Tripp Stimson, both of Barrell Craft Spirits. The gents came in and gave us the lowdown on all things Barrell who are arguably the leaders of putting out delicious sourced and blended bourbons, rye, and rums.

Joe and Tripp led us through three of Barrel’s releases. How could we say no? It wouldn’t be right. Especially on a livestream for all to see.

And the calendar may have said blazing hot August but it was all jingling bells and frosty rooftops as we talked about National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation with the Griswolds. Clark played by Cheddar Chase only wants a good old fashioned Christmas for his wife Ellen (Beverly hubba hubba D’Angelo) and the whole Griswold clan. Comedy ensues when a series of mishaps come crashing down on Clark’s holiday dreams. Maybe Wally World or takeout from Seafood Empress Chinese Restaurant would be a better idea next Christmas, Clark.

Grab a cup of egg nog, a box of candy canes, a slice Aunt Edna’s fruitcake from last year (defrost it; it’s behind the unmarked thing wrapped in tin (yes, tin) foil in the back of the freezer), and/or (“or“ is the better choice) a nice glass of bourbon. Then hunker down around the old Hi-Fi (with Wi-Fi) and listen to this episode of What We Watch When We Drink with the Three Wise Men of Boozedancing and two actually smart guys from Barrell Craft Spirits. You’ll be humming “Mistletoe” from Justin Bieber before you can say, “Damn it! Another sweater”!
