The 2nd Annual Los Angeles Rum Festival from TheRumLab.com will be hitting Downtown Los Angeles at the Majestic Ballroom. Education and premiumization of the rum category are the focus of the event that will take place on Friday night, September 8.  And Boozedancing has a discount(!) on tickets to the show if you’re anywhere near LA. It will be a full slate of activities for rum know-it-all’s, folks in the trade, cocktail mavens, and newer rum fans. Bet there will be some tiki folk too. My kind of people! Four separate sessions are scheduled depending on what the attendee is looking for…

The Trade “Industry” Session (4:00 – 5:30 pm) is for those in the bar, restaurant and retail sale of beer/spirits plus beverage media wonks. The pros can network with the brand reps, attend trade focused seminars (RSVP required), and taste premium rums, of course!

The VIP Rum Experts Session (4:00 – 9:00 pm) gives attendees early (2 hours early!) access to the premium rum tasting and an exclusive tasting cup presented by The NEAT Glass. Plus there is access to 2 VIP Seminars (RSVP required), Consumer Seminars (RSVP required), and a free subscription to TheRumLab Weekly Industry Newsletter. Oh, there’s also Rum Cocktail Hours with this Session ticket!

The IP Enthusiastic Session (5:00 – 9:00 pm) gives attendees early (1 hours early) access to the premium rum tasting and that exclusive tasting cup from The NEAT Glass. And finally there is The Rum Aficionados General Admission Tasting Session  (6:00 – 9:00 pm) which is a 3-hour ticket offering the opportunity to access to the premium rum tasting and a 3 oz. souvenir cup. PluAnds attendees can attend Consumer seminars (RSVP required).

Oh, don’t bring the kids. Just get a babysitter because this is strictly a 21+ and older event.
