In the latest edition of WhiskyCast HD, Mark Gillespie flies to Tuscany to meet with Dr. Bill Lumsden (Head of Distilling & Whisky Creation for Glenmorangie and Ardbeg) for the unveiling of Glenmorangie’s latest expression, Artein, a 15 Year Old Glenmorangie, that is finished in ‘Super Tuscan’ wine casks. Enjoy the ride!

Very cool – I like the direct tie-in to the wine maker. Helps to really see/appreciate the full journey of what it takes to make 1 single whisky expression.

I wish I could take credit for the video. But at least I get to share. Dr. Bill is like a Mad Scientist of Whisky! Genius!

I really want to pick up a few Glenmorangie expressions. I bought a single of Nectar D’or and loved it. Seeing that I dont usually vibe on Scotch (at least not yet), I’d like to try a few more of theirs. Thanks for exposing us to the vid G-LO 😉

You betcha Chuck! Glenmorangie does make some lovely whiskeys. LImpd picked up a sampler pack a while back. I think it had four 100ml bottles. Not sure of the price. Thinking around $50 or so.

Do you bring this up to inform or to remind me that I have yet to open the bottles and share? Very subtle.

Chuck, the sample pack that G-LO alluded to has the Original, the Quinta Ruban, the Lasanta and the Nectar D’Or. And, the bottles are indeed 100ml. The sampler is certainly worth a try if you can find them.

I saw a sampler that had 3 250ml bottles and a 50ml of Nectar d’or… ALMOST grabbed it, got the JD single barrel set instead. Not really a regrettable decision since I really liked that stuff. So maybe next time I can find it. Unfortunately most stores dont have these on websites… QUEST!
