We were told by someone or read it online or dreamed it while mattress shopping that there are over 200,000 ordained ministers in the religion of Dudeism (or should it be Dudaism? Whatever, Man.) based on the life of Jeffrey Lebowski. We, here at Boozedancing.com, cannot confirm this number nor necessarily applaud another “new” religion. Did we in this quadrant not learn anything from Jediasm? Be that as it may, we wholeheartedly approve of anything that supports with gusto the consuming of cocktails. Responsibly, of course.

Which brings us to our latest and greatest episode of One Book, One Movie, Many Cocktails. Ok, it’s the premier episode and we’re workshopping the title. HEY! There’s a WRITER’S STRIKE! Read the papers lately?! We’re not used to this level of in-house work. We really should consider going on hiatus until the parties come together. But while they argue over A.I., 6G, and M.O.N.E.Y., we will party on as The Dude and his pilgrims would like us to… with drink in hand..

And we did this recently on a livestream with friend of the pod, author André Darlington, who came on to talk about his new book, The Unofficial Big Lebowski Cocktail Book. Plus we dug deep into the movie of the same name which is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Oh, we made cocktails from the book too. We don’t need no writers to get us to read and mix. We’re professionals.
