The Countdown To Philly Beer Week 2012 Continues…

There are just 25 days left until the start of this year’s Philly Beer Week…

Friday, June 1st marks the kickoff of Philly Beer Week 2012. This is an outstanding week (it actually last 10 days) of events that demonstrates why Philadelphia is not only one of  America’s greatest beer drinking cities, but that it is also home to some of the best craft brewers in the country. Previously, we had ventured out in the name of research in 2010 (see recaps here and here) and 2011 (see recaps here, here, here and here).

This year, we hope to make several days of it, and are working feverishly to clear our calendars for the Opening Tap where you can see the Hammer of Glory as it is toured through the streets of Philadelphia, and then makes its way to the Independence Visitor Center at Sixth and Market Streets. We are also in search of the collaboration Belgium Speciale Ale that was brewed by Brasserie Dupont and the folks behind Philly Beer Week just for this year’s event.

Are you ready for Philly Beer Week? We hope to see you there!

  1. I’ve been planning for weeks. I don’t get to take much time off work, but I’m definitely going to make the most of it. Hopefully we’ll run into each other at a few events.

    • Me thinks we need to work on another Philly Beer Tweet Up! The easiest way would be for us to post our tentative itineraries and see where our paths cross.

Step One: What days will we be out and about?

Step Two: See what events are scheduled on those days.

Step Three: Tweet and ReTweet where we’ll be and when.

      Thoughts?

  2. I’m definitely not going to be able to make it. But that doesn’t mean I’m not still having beer week. Basically it’s just me listening to a lot of Scorpions and drinking Pabst blue ribbon by myself.
