First we had #IPADay, now we have International Stout Day. What is International Stout Day? Here’s what it’s all about:
International Stout Day is a worldwide celebration of the iconic beer style, Stout. Taking place in homes, pubs, breweries and restaurants; it’s all about celebrating the craft beer revolution, relishing in this beloved beer style, sharing your photos, tasting notes and events with the world.
As of this writing, I have two options (i.e. beer in my fridge) to celebrate this international event: Green Flash Double Stout or North Coast Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout. I will make my final decision this evening.
How will you be celebrating International Stout Day? Let us know by taking our latest Craft Beer Poll which features several popular and highly rated Stouts from the US, England, and Ireland. And if you have any other plans to celebrate this event, let us know in the comments below. Cheers!

I’ll have to work on that one. Perhaps a Kathie Lee vs. That Girl From Voorhees Poll?

I may have my own stout today, but I enjoyed a CBS and a little Black Tuesday last night.

Shhh… we don’t mention CBS around these parts since we didn’t get any for ourselves!

I don’t think I can “one-up” that list. The sad fact is that the only stout in my brew fridge are two Sam Adams Imperial Stouts that LimpD has left here in protective custody …. I dare not consume a brew that has been left in my protection.
Wake me up when IPA day comes around again. I am loaded with over-hopped IPA goodness (especially rye IPAs).

I’ll bet he forgot you have them. Drink it!

I would have thought the Wookie would have invoked some obscure Scottish possession rule or a clear violation of the Bro code by now. As far as I’m concerned, any beer that I have left behind is fair game.

Happy belated Int. Stout Day! Was torn between Brooklyn Chocolate Stout and Bluegrass Brewing Company Bourbon Barrel Stout. Went for the bourbon….twas a good choice!

I didn’t have it on Stout Day, but last week I split a giant bottle of the Schlafly Raspberry Coffee Stout. I’m impressed with it. The raspberry is there but it doesn’t overpower anything. Make no mistake, it’s still very much a coffee stout.

Had no idea it was Stout Day, but I accidentally celebrated with a bottle of Goose Island Night Stalker. Excellent fresh (brewed Feb 2011), but I’d love to try cellaring it.

Every day should be International stout day! We had some very good Avery Out of Bounds Stout this evening and I love North Coast Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout.
